My Name is Rick Martindale. I am a software engineer. I currently live in Huntsville, Alabama. I moved here in 1992 after graduating from Auburn University with a BS in Computer Engineering. I graduated high school in 1987 from Calvary Academy in Fort Worth, Texas.

I have many hobbies. Or as I like to call them, the obsession of the week. I am currently using most of my hobby time restoring a 1972 GMC pickup. I also enjoy woodworking, specifically making furniture. In the past I have been involved with N-scale model railroading, offroad 1/10 scale RC cars, onroad 1/18 scale RC cars, RC airplanes, camping, recreational computing, playing guitar, etc.
In 2004 I bought a used red 1995 Mazda Miata. The car inspired me to start a blog. Check it out if you have some free time or just want to read about the weather in Huntsville, Alabama.
From time to time I also try to get a little exercise. My methods of 'bringing on the pain' have included mountain biking, running, walking, and weight lifting. I also enjoy napping. {That doesn't belong here does it?}
